Adding simple elegance to a family home

The Vision
A 622 sq. ft. Kolkata flat, locked away for nearly two decades, silent and untouched. Life had moved elsewhere, yet the space lingered in memory, waiting. When the client returned in 2023, the house spoke of time passed: cracked walls, chipped floors, collapsing furniture—a home that had lost its spirit.
This wasn’t just a renovation. It was a reclamation. The brief was intimate and precise: restructure the home completely, retain a sense of lightness, and create a space that breathes. Every choice was deliberate—from mustard drapes to sage walls, Spanish indigo tiles to carefully preserved empty corners. Even nothingness had its place.
The Outcome
Walls were opened, flow reimagined, and the house rebuilt with care. Modern elements from IKEA and Pepperfry blended seamlessly with the craft of local carpenters. Form met feeling; structure met soul. The result is a home transformed—a space that speaks the language of the heart. A home that says, proudly and softly, “Te amo mi casa.”
